MGC UNX 80G

I acquired the car in 2007 having owned a Jaguar Mk 2 for the previous 15 years.

Mechanically, the car was already in excellent condition having been upgraded by the previous owner to Downton Stage 2 standard, plus a fast road camshaft. The bodywork had been rather neglected so I spent the first year and a modest sum of money bringing it up to a good standard. The biggest job was refurbishing the engine bay, which was an engine out job. The corrosion of 38 years leaking hydraulic fluid around the pedal box was not a pretty sight!

To me, the MGC is an excellent, refined and fast grand-tourer, with a wonderful engine sound. The E-type that I can’t afford!
